Dr. William
“Big Will” Fateiger

Helping people build stronger bodies, resilient minds, and lives grounded in faith and purpose.

Dr. William Fateiger is the founder and Wellness Director of Aftermath Training in Leominster, Massachusetts. Known throughout the strength community as “Big Will,” he built Aftermath Training around a demanding mission: helping people develop stronger bodies, resilient minds, and lives grounded in faith and purpose.

William holds a Doctorate in Kinesiology and is a Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Sports Nutritionist, and Certified Peptide Consultant. He also holds numerous additional certifications, ranging from Russian kettlebell training to kinesiology taping. William is CPR/AED certified and combat-medic trained. His coaching combines practical experience, evidence-based programming, nutrition guidance, accountability, and a genuine commitment to each person he serves.

Before establishing Aftermath Training, William served 14 years in the United States Army. The discipline, resilience, leadership, and commitment to service developed during those years continue to shape how he coaches and mentors others today.

Strength forged through experience.

William is a professional strength athlete with extensive experience in powerlifting, strongman, and armlifting. He has competed successfully at the state and national levels and has held multiple state, national, and world records across several strength-sport disciplines. He continues pursuing greater strength well into his fifties, demonstrating that age does not have to determine a person’s limits.

His personal experience overcoming injuries, health challenges, setbacks, and the demands of high-level competition allows him to understand that progress is rarely a straight line. Strength is not simply measured by the weight on the bar—it is revealed through perseverance, discipline, and the willingness to continue when circumstances become difficult.

Beyond competing, William is committed to growing strength sports throughout New England. He promotes and organizes Massachusetts’ Strongest Man and New England’s Strongest Grip, creating opportunities for athletes of all experience levels to test themselves, develop confidence, and become part of a supportive strength community.

Faith is the foundation.

William is an ordained chaplain whose ministry is rooted in historic Reformed Baptist convictions. His faith in Jesus Christ is not a marketing slogan or an accessory to his work—it is the foundation beneath it. After years of outward belief without wholehearted obedience, William came to understand more deeply the necessity of repentance, saving faith, and complete dependence upon the grace of God. That realization transformed his direction and gave new meaning to his military service, athletic career, coaching, family life, and ministry.

Through Aftermath Training, William seeks to serve people physically, emotionally, and spiritually. He believes strength is a form of stewardship: the body should be trained with discipline, the mind renewed through truth, and every accomplishment ultimately returned to God’s glory.

Whether he is coaching someone through a first workout, preparing a strength athlete for national competition, guiding a client’s nutrition, mentoring another man, serving his church, or ministering publicly as a chaplain, William’s purpose remains the same—to meet people where they are and help them move forward with faith, strength, discipline, and hope.

William is a husband, father, veteran, coach, competitor, and brother in Christ. He understands that everyone carries the evidence of past battles. Aftermath Training was built on the belief that those battles do not have to define the ending. They can become the ground upon which something stronger is built.

Faith. Strength. Purpose.
